The ESPN.com Power Rankings are out, and the Seahawks are ranked No. 1.
But what about the teams the Seahawks will face during the 2013 season? The league won’t release the schedule until next month, but the Seahawks already know which teams they’re playing. And they have road games against four of the other teams ranked among ESPN.com’s Top 10 – the No. 2-ranked 49ers, away and home; the No. 4-ranked Falcons in Atlanta; the No. 7-ranked Texans in Houston; and the No. 9-ranked Colts in Indianapolis.
The flipside of this imposing top-loaded slate is the fact that the Seahawks also will face three of the teams ranked in ESPN.com’s Bottom 6 at CenturyLink Field – the No. 27-ranked Titans; the No. 29-ranked Cardinals, home and away; and the No. 32-ranked Jaguars, who are now coached by former defensive coordinator Gus Bradley.
As for the Seahawks’ in-between opponents: the Saints, No. 12 at home; the Giants, No. 14 on the road; the Rams, No. 15, home and away; the Vikings, No. 17 at home; the Panthers, No. 20 on the road; and the Buccaneers, No. 21 at home.
