Cortez Kennedy

A look at some memorable moments in Seahawks history that occurred on March 8:

2001: Eight-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Cortez Kennedy is released after 11 seasons with the Seahawks. Kennedy leaves as the most-decorated defensive player in franchise history. He would be added to the team’s Ring of Honor in 2006 and voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2012.

2010: Backup quarterback Seneca Wallace is traded to the Browns. Wallace was 5-9 as a starter during his seven-season stay in Seattle.
