With Carpenter out, Moffitt likely will start
In case you missed it yesterday, left guard James Carpenter was ruled out for the Seahawks’ game today against the Vikings at CenturyLink Field after getting a concussion in practice on Friday.
John Moffitt likely will return to the starting lineup at right guard after missing the past five games with a knee injury. That would allow Paul McQuistan to slide back to left guard to replace Carpenter. McQuistan was starting on the left side before moving over to replace Moffitt. But no official word on that yet.
The Seahawks also will play without nickel defensive tackle Jason Jones for the second consecutive week. He has an ankle injury.
Also inactive for the Seahawks:
WR Braylon Edwards
SS Winston Guy
T Mike Person
CB Byron Maxwell
DT Jaye Howard
Update: Moffitt is starting at left guard, with McQuistan staying on the right side.
