A look at some memorable moments in Seahawks history that occurred on Oct. 1:

1990: Derrick Fenner scores three touchdowns as the Seahawks win their first game of the season, 31-16 over the Bengals at the Kingdome, on “Monday Night Football.” Dave Krieg’s 63-yard TD pass to Tommy Kane gives the Seahawks, who started 0-3, a 24-9 lead in the fourth quarter.

2006: Shaun Alexander, the NFL’s 2005 Most Valuable Player, misses the first of six games with a broken foot suffered in the season opener. Alexander would return to lead the team in rushing (896 yards) for the sixth consecutive season.
