Quarter notes: Third
In a nutshell: Seahawks 7-6, as the Packers monopolized the quarter but had only two field goals to show for it.
Player of the quarter: Mason Crosby. The Packers had drives of 13 and 11 plays, but it was Crosby who supplied the points with 29- and 40-yard field goals. Give an honorable-mention assist to Cedric Benson, who carried seven times for 34 yards on the first drive and three times for 14 yards on the second drive.
Play of the quarter: The Seahawks appeared to have the Packers stopped again late in the quarter, but on third-and-5 Rodgers rolled to his left – away from the pressure that was coming up the gut – and found tight end Jermichael Finley for a 31-yard gain to the 48-yard line.
Number of the quarter: 7. The Seahawks’ point total, which was still enough to give them a one-point lead despite having the ball for five plays in the quarter.
