Look who’s coming to camp
The second practice of the Seahawks’ Bing training camp attracted a berm-filling crowd of 2,258 to Virginia Mason Athletic Center on Sunday, including the on-crutches cousin of rookie cornerback Donny Lisowski and an extended family of 13 who were flaunting their love of Pro Bowl free safety Earl Thomas:
Brooke Lisowski
Age: 15
From: San Jose, Calif.
Fan since: “I’ve been a Seahawks fan, but even more so since Donny has been with the team.” That would be Donny Lisowski, her cousin and a rookie free agent from Montana and Seattle’s O’Dea High School who signed with the Seahawks after the NFL Draft.
Favorite current player: Duh. Donny Lisowski
Favorite all-time Seahawk: Marshawn Lynch
Favorite Seahawk moment: “The day they signed Donny,” said the soccer-playing Lisowski, who was on crutches because she had surgery two weeks ago.
James Shigihara
Age: 22
From: Bellevue
Fan since: “My dad started taking me to games when I was like 3-years old. We had season tickets for six or seven years.”
Favorite current player: “I really love Earl Thomas, but I’m hoping that Matt Flynn is going to do some good stuff. I’m really looking forward to seeing him (and Flynn took the No. 1 reps in practice on Sunday).”
Favorite all-time Seahawk: “I love Cortez (he was wearing a No. 96 Cortez Kennedy jersey), but maybe Walter Jones, too.”
Favorite Seahawk moment: “I was at the NFC Championship game when we blew out Carolina. That was my favorite game. It was so loud. I’ve never been to a game that loud. So that would be my favorite moment.”
Matt Johnson
Age: 23
From: Anacortes
Fan since: “Twenty three years. Since 1989, the day I was born.”
Favorite current player: “Got to be Earl (Thomas; he was wearing a No. 29 Thomas jersey).”
Favorite all-time Seahawk: Steve Largent
Favorite Seahawk moment: “The NFC Championship game when we went to the Super Bowl,” said Johnson, who was joined by his girlfriend, Ashley Webster, and brother-in-law, Dean Powell (who also were wearing Thomas jerseys) and 10 other members of their extended family.
