On this date: Bosworth selected in supplemental draft
A look at a memorable moment in Seahawks history that occurred on June 12:
1987: The Seahawks win the lottery for the first pick in the supplemental draft and select University of Oklahoma linebacker Brian Bosworth. The move cost the team its first-round pick in the 1988 NFL Draft. The colorful, and controversial, Bosworth – aka “The Boz” – would start 24 games in three seasons before a shoulder injury ended his career.
