A look at a memorable moment in Seahawks history that occurred on June 8:
2008: Gary Wright, who had been with the franchise since its inaugural season in 1976, retires. Originally the director of publicity, Wright was promoted to public relations director in 1982 and became the franchise’s first vice president in 1987. To mark his retirement, the press box at the team’s stadium was named in his honor. Wright is now senior vice president of business operations for Sounders FC.
