The Seahawks just selected Idaho outside linebacker Korey Toomer in the fifth round of the NFL Draft.
The 6-foot-2, 234-pound Toomer was not invited to the NFL Scouting Combine, but made up for it at his Pro Day workout by running the 40-yard dash in 4.54 seconds and popping a 42-inch vertical leap.
Toomer was a backup in 2009, redshirted in 2010 because of an injury and moved in to the starting lineup last season.
The pick to draft Toomer was acquired in a trade with the Eagles on Friday. The Seahawks lost their own fifth-round pick in the 2010 trade for leading rusher Marshawn Lynch.
