On this date: Kingdome imploded

A look at the memorable moments in Seahawks history that occurred on March 26:

2000: The Kingdome, the Seahawks’ home since their inaugural season in 1976, is imploded to make way for the team’s new stadium that would open in 2002. The team would play the 2000 and 2001 seasons at Husky Stadium on the University of Washington campus while the new stadium is being constructed.

2008: Pro Bowl cornerback Marcus Trufant is signed to a multiyear extension. Trufant, who was released this month, was a starter since being selected in the first round of the 2003 NFL Draft.
