What could be better than having a player as a finalist for a weekly national award? Having two players as finalists.
That’s the case for the Seahawks after their 30-13 victory over the Rams on Monday night.
Marshawn Lynch is in the running for FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week after rushing for 115 yards and a touchdown. Lynch now has scored in his past nine games, tying the franchise record set by Shaun Alexander in 2005. Lynch also topped triple digits in yards for the fifth time in the past six games and needs 31 more to become the Seahawks’ first 1,000-yard rusher since Alexander in 2005. You can vote for Lynch here.
Doug Baldwin is up for Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week after catching seven passes for 93 yards and a touchdown, blocking a punt that was returned for a touchdown, returning a kickoff 37 yards on a reverse and also downing a punt at the 6-yard line. You can vote for Baldwin here.
