The Seahawks announced the signing for former USC running back Allen Bradford Friday. The 6-0 235 Bradford was drafted by the Tampa Bay Bucs in the 6th round last April. He was released by Tampa Bay on Thursday.
A product of Colton High School in San Bernardino, California, Bradford played four years at USC with career total of 1,585 rushing yards, a 5.9 yards/carry average and 20 touchdowns. His senior year at SC, he rushed for 794 yards, an average of over 7 yards per carry.
In Southern California’s media guide, his college coach, and now current Seahawks coach, Pete Carroll says of Bradford, “He’s tough as nails, physical, plays hard every day, he won’t back down from any challenge.”
