It’s off to Chicago

The Seahawks will play the Bears in Chicago on Sunday in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs. The kickoff is scheduled for 10 a.m., Seattle time.

The Green Bay Packers’ 21-16 victory over the Eagles in Philadelphia on Sunday sent the Seahawks to Chicago, because the lower-seeded Packers will meet the top-seed Falcons in Atlanta on Saturday.

The Seahawks advanced, of course, with their stunning 41-36 upset of the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints on Saturday at Qwest Field.

This Sunday’s game will be a rematch, as the Seahawks beat the Bears 23-20 in Week 6 at Soldier Field.

The only other time the Seahawks and Bears met in the postseason, the Bears won 27-24 in overtime in a 2006 divisional game. That sent the Bears to the NFC title game, which they won to advance to the Super Bowl.

Seahawks fans interested in tickets for the next game are encouraged to check the Chicago Bears  website to purchase tickets.
