After clear skies during last weekend’s game at Qwest Field, forecasts are projecting more traditional Seattle weather for Saturday’s playoff matchup against the Saints — a high of 43, a low of 37 and a 40 percent chance of rain.
The weather could be an advantage for the Seahawks considering their opponent plays a majority of its games in domes. New Orleans played 11 contests indoors this season, going 7-4 in those games. For the other five matchups in 2010, the Saints were 3-0 in outdoor games with the kickoff temperature at 50 degrees or warmer, but they’re just 1-1 when the temperature dips below 50. They came back to defeat Cincinnati, 34-30, on the road when the temperature at kickoff was 32 degrees, and then lost at Baltimore, 30-24, when it was 34 degrees at game time.
