A new day

The calendar reads Tuesday, but it’s actually Wednesday in the Seahawks’ world.

With the game on Saturday instead of Sunday, the team’s weekly schedule has been bumped up a day to accommodate the switch and allow for ample preparation. Usually an off day, today has instead become “Competition Wednesday” for the Seahawks, with meetings beginning at 8 a.m., a walk-thru at 11 a.m. and practice at 12:15 p.m.

Here’s a look at the day’s schedule as the Seahawks get started on the installation of the Saints game plan and dive into playoff week:

8 a.m. • Special teams meeting
8:45 a.m. • Team meeting
9 a.m. • Offense/defense meetings
9:15 a.m. • Position group meetings
11 a.m. • Walk-thru
11:45 a.m. • Walk-thru ends
12:15 p.m. • Practice
1:45 p.m. • Lunch
2:30 p.m. • Post-practice meetings
