National attention

The Seahawks aren’t waiting until Sunday to feel the magnitude of the nationally televised matchup.

That’s because the first wave of NBC’s 120-person “Sunday Night Football” crew arrived at Virginia Mason Athletic Center on Wednesday to start preparing for the broadcast, with video headshots, photo shoots and on- and off-camera interviews taking place through Saturday. The announcers — Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth and Andrea Kremer — are scheduled to arrive today and begin their homework for the game through film sessions and several interviews with coaches and players.

It all comes together to form the regular season’s final episode of the weekly “Sunday Night Football” broadcast, which begins with “Football Night in America” on NBC at 5 p.m. and carries into kickoff at 5:30 p.m.
