Although the Seahawks have won just twice in the last nine games, they have a golden chance to become division champions with a victory on Sunday.
It’s because of that carrot in front of them that Coach Pete Carroll isn’t letting the past two-plus months distort their thinking as they prepare for the final game of the regular season.
“Like we always say, what you did before doesn’t matter — it’s what we’re going to do now that counts,” Carroll told the team this morning. “When game time comes, we’ve got to cut it loose, hold nothing back, so we can be our very best.
“We’ll find out where we are, but if we compete with all we’ve got and give everything we have, we’ll get what we want and what we deserve.”
