The NFC West championship will be decided on national TV, and in primetime.
The Seahawks’ game against the St. Louis Rams next Sunday has been flexed into the NBC primetime slot, it was announced tonight, with the kickoff from Qwest Field scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
The Rams are 7-8 after their win over the 49ers today, while the Seahawks slipped to 6-9 with their loss to the Buccaneers in Tampa. But a Seahawks’ victory over the Rams would leave them tied, and the Seahawks would win the tiebreaker based on a better record in the division.
This will be the Seahawks’ first nationally televised game since 2008, when they played the Cowboys in Dallas on Thanksgiving. That season also marked the last time the Seahawks a primetime game, when they played the Bucs in Tampa on Oct. 19.
