Home sweet home

The homestretch of the Seahawks’ schedule has arrived, and fortunately for them, two-thirds of their remaining games are in the friendly confines of Qwest Field.

But with the benefits come a little added pressure to finish strong.

“If we want to do this right, we’ve got to excel at home in this last push of the season,” Coach Pete Carroll told his team during this morning’s meetings. “It’s too good of an opportunity. Let’s not miss this.”

The Seahawks have played just two home games in the last two months, so Carroll offered a refresher course on how the team has performed, for the most part, in its previous four contests at Qwest, including recording a +6 turnover margin at home.

“I want to remind us how powerful we are when we’re at Qwest — effort, intensity, making plays,” Carroll told his players. “Let’s crank it up again this Sunday.”
