The stage has been set for Sunday — and the matchup against the 6-4 Chiefs won’t be easy.
“This is a very challenging football game for us,” Coach Pete Carroll told players during this morning’s team meeting to kick off Chiefs week.
And what a perfect way to begin the homestretch of the 2010 season. The Seahawks play four of their final six at home, with the finish line approaching rapidly.
“You can feel it and you can see it outside — the seasons have changed,” the head coach said. “It’s finish time.”
The Seahawks dive further into finish mode with this weekend’s game at Qwest Field, where they’re 3-1 this season. But Carroll is cautioning against getting too cozy with the shimmering home-field mark.
“It doesn’t mean it’s going to happen,” Carroll told his players. “We have to make it happen by the way we prepare this week.”
