Relying on the veterans

Crowd noise will undoubtedly be a factor on Sunday in New Orleans, but the Seahawks are counting their blessings when it comes to a pair players who will lead the charge in overcoming the complications associated with the loudness.

Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck and linebacker Lofa Tatupu, the quarterback of the defense, are in charge of communicating plays and audibles on their respective sides of the ball. They’re two players who have plenty of experience when it comes to playing in difficult road environments, since they have a combined 202 starts.

“You can’t have much more experience at the helm than those two guys,” Coach Pete Carroll said.
