Coaches and players are planning for the Saints game this week. Team travel coordinator Jeremy Young planned for the Saints game six months ago.
Young, who handles the transportation and lodging logistics of all road games, made an advance scouting trip to New Orleans in May to finalize arrangements with the team hotel. He checked out seven different hotels before choosing one based on location, quality and meeting space.
Young makes such advance trips to prepare for away games that the Seahawks have not traveled to in recent years. The Seahawks last played in New Orleans during the 2005 preseason, and last played a regular season game at the Superdome in 2004, so Young needed to make a journey to New Orleans to scout out the lodging arrangements for this weekend’s trip.
