The schedule-makers threw some wrinkles in the Seahawks’ direction this season.
For the third time in 2010, the Seahawks will face a team coming off of a bye when they play the Saints on Sunday in New Orleans. That means Seattle will have been on the flipside of three of 31 teams’ byes, or the opponent in 10 percent of the League’s post-bye matchups.
It’s not necessarily a disadvantage, though. The Seahawks are 1-1 in their previous two games against teams fresh off a bye, beating Arizona on Oct. 24 and losing to New York on Nov. 7. NFL-wide, teams are 17-11 (.607) following a bye, bumped up by a 6-0 mark two weekends ago.
