Coming off of a humbling 33-3 defeat on Sunday, the Seahawks have returned to the practice field for the first time since the game, and Coach Pete Carroll is massaging the team psyche as Seattle prepares to play the 5-2 Giants at Qwest Field this weekend.
There’s plenty of hope and promise even in the face of both the recent results and the upcoming opponent, and Carroll’s making sure his players subscribe to that thinking starting with this afternoon’s half-pads “Competition Wednesday” practice on a perfectly sunny day at Seahawks headquarters.
“Can we get this done? There’s no doubt,” Carroll told his players this morning. “But we’ve got to be tuned in today and we can’t miss the point about competing all day.”
