Today serves as the introduction to the Raiders game plan, as the Seahawks, through meetings, a walk-thru and practice, start installing the plays that’ll be used on Sunday in Oakland.
So you’d think the talk of VMAC would be all Raiders, all day — but you couldn’t be further from the truth.
Through a video highlight and a brief introduction into their personnel, results and schemes, the Seahawks spent about five minutes during this morning’s team meeting talking about the Raiders. After that, it was an inward focus, as is the purpose of Competition Wednesdays and a key principle of the Pete Carroll philosophy.
“That’s it, that’s all,” Carroll told the players after his brief Raiders presentation. “Now it’s onto us. The most important thing to us is that we have a great Competition Wednesday and get better here.”
A full-pads practice starts at 1:30, so we’ll return with reports from the field following the workout.
