Even though “Tell the truth Monday” has come two days late, it’s better late than never.
After players received Monday off following Sunday’s 22-10 win over Arizona, this morning’s meeting served as “truth” day for the Seahawks as they quickly reviewed the game before moving on to their next opponent.
Coach Pete Carroll lauded his players for doing “the big things well” against the Cardinals, including taking away five turnovers, churning out 144 rushing yards, producing a dynamic performance on special teams and allowing just 10 points on defense. So even though the Seahawks left a lot on the field, Carroll was pleased, especially with the win.
The head coach called extra attention to the way the team finished the game, with the offense running a 12-play drive that ate up 4:39 just before the final gun and the defense holding the Cardinals to 29 total yards in the fourth quarter.
“We’re marching on,” Carroll said. “We’ve got to stay in line, we’ve got to stay together.”
