A little “tell the truth” Monday was sprinkled into this morning’s meetings.
Because “Victory Monday” gave players an extra off day, today’s meetings are the first time the team has convened since Sunday’s 23-20 win in Chicago. So the Seahawks are spending part of the morning reviewing the game, a very pleasant experience considering the outcome.
“That was a championship opportunity, on the road, against the No. 1 team in the NFC,” Coach Pete Carroll told his players. “We went out and captured the opportunity exactly how we hoped to do it.”
It seems as if the win was more than just a win. Since it was away from home and against a top team, the victory has given the Seahawks supreme confidence they’ll carry on from here.
“We know what it’s like to go on the road and be up against a great football team,” Carroll said. “We need to know that we know. It took a few games, but we know how to do this thing.”
