A long-standing NFL tradition has made its way to Virginia Mason Athletic Center today.
It’s “Victory Monday” at Seahawks headquarters, meaning players received an extra day off from meetings and workouts thanks to Sunday’s 23-20 win at Chicago. Coach Pete Carroll announced the decision as the team charter was landing at SeaTac on Sunday night as he came over the plane’s speakers to break the news.
“All the injured guys, you need to come in and get healthy,” Carroll said over the speakers. “But all the rest of you guys, I don’t want to see you until Wednesday!”
The players erupted into cheers and applause, elated by the first “Victory Monday” of the season.
