Cornerback Kennard Cox was signed off the practice squad today, filling the spot on the 53-man roster that opened when wide receiver Deion Branch was traded to the New England Patriots on Monday.
Cox began the season on the 53-man roster, but was released Sept. 14 and signed to the practice squad two days later.
To fill Cox’s spot on the practice squad, wide receiver Pat Williams was re-signed. He was originally signed to the practice squad on Sept. 6, but released two weeks ago when wide receiver Brandon Stokley was signed to the 53-man roster.
The double move pushes the Seahawks’ number of transitions to a league-high 217 since coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Schneider were hired in January.
