The bye week couldn’t have come at a better time. And the Seahawks should be soaring coming out on the other side.
With several players banged up during the first few weeks of the season, the bye week comes at an opportune time to allow the team’s overall health to rise to levels that haven’t been seen since the offseason. Mike Williams, Marcus Trufant, Brandon Mebane and Aaron Curry — four starters who were banged up in the San Diego game two weeks ago — returned Sunday, played extensively and came out healthy. Also, Russell Okung got his first regular-season action this weekend, and is set to practice today and play next week.
“We should be in great shape for our next game,” Coach Pete Carroll said. “We’ll be at our healthiest after this bye.”
