Several Seahawks will have their eyes on one college football matchup tonight.
The Washington-USC game from Los Angeles has attracted a lot of attention around the team, especially considering the active roster and injured reserve list includes a combined seven alumni from the two schools — and because 11 coaches came from the Trojans this offseason.
The game has special significance for Pete Carroll, who discipled the head coaches of the two programs, Steve Sarkisian and Lane Kiffin, during his time at USC. Even though he said he’s rooting for both young coaches, he made it clear which team he’s hoping wins.
“I can’t wait to watch those guys coach it up against each other,” Carroll said. “It’ll be fun to watch. But my heart’s always with the Trojans.”
