The most glaring stat from the Seahawks’ loss on Sunday had nothing to do with yards, third downs or first downs.
It was all about turnovers.
The Seahawks gave up four turnovers and took away zero in the 31-14 loss in Denver, and “it’s all about the ball” has become the battle cry as the team seeks to bounce back starting today on “Tell the Truth Monday.”
“When you give up the football like that, it is extremely hard to win,” Coach Pete Carroll said.
The turnover stat falls in line with a league-wide trend. So far in 2010, teams with a plus or even turnover margin have gone 26-5, good for an 84 percent winning percentage.
