Colorado connections

Sunday’s game will be a homecoming of sorts for several Seahawks, as many coaches and players have ties with the Broncos and the state of Colorado:

  • Offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates spent three seasons with the Broncos, serving as an offensive assistant in 2006, the quarterbacks/wide receivers coach in 2007 and the quarterbacks coach in 2008.
  • Quarterbacks coach Jedd Fisch coached wide receivers for the Broncos in 2008.
  • Tight ends coach Pat McPherson worked for the Broncos for 11 years (1998-2008), coaching quarterbacks and tight ends.
  • Special teams coordinator Brian Schneider grew up in the Denver suburb of Arvada, Colo., and attended Colorado State, where he also spent the first nine years (1994-2002) of his coaching career as a special teams and tight ends coach.
  • Practice squad quarterback Zac Robinson, a rookie out of Oklahoma State, grew up in the Denver suburb of Littleton, Colo.
  • Practice squad wideout Pat Williams attended Colorado.
