The Seahawks will play their first road game of the regular season on Sunday in Denver, although they won’t be making too much of it.
Coach Pete Carroll has been setting a mindset this week that limits the distractions of playing away from home. By discussing all the factors of being on the road, he hopes to minimize differences and emphasize the importance of preparing well regardless of the upcoming game situation.
“It doesn’t matter where we play, what jerseys we wear, what the weather is, whether we’re at 5,000 feet or not,” Carroll told his team. “All that matters is that we play how we’re capable of playing, regardless of the circumstances. We’ve got to prepare to play like we’re capable of playing.”
