It might not be Thursday on the calendar, but today is “Turnover Thursday” in the Seahawks’ world this week.
With the Raiders game in their sights, the team just took the field — indoors today, thanks to the rainy weather — for a half-pads practice that will stress turnovers from start to finish. And it’s especially apropos this week as the defense aims to continue its three-takeaway-per-game average so far this preseason.
“This has got to remain a huge focus for us,” Coach Pete Carroll told his team. “We’ve got to stay with it.”
The practice also marks the beginning of the weekly tapering down process, with the Seahawks putting the finishing touches on their game plan for Thursday’s matchup at Oakland.
