The “day before” has arrived at Virginia Mason Athletic Center, with game day just a day away and the Seahawks putting the finishing touches on their second game week of the preseason.
Today’s emphasis shifts into the homestretch of game prep, as the morning meetings and 11 a.m. walk-thru/practice help the players zero in on the task at hand on Saturday.
Coach Pete Carroll is calling on his players to rise up and focus in so they can “get the game plan nailed to precision.”
“We’ve got to pay attention to all the details,” Carroll said during this morning’s team meeting. “We don’t want to give the other guys anything. Don’t give our opponents an inch.
“If we’re competing right, that’s the mentality we’ve got to have.”
