Four days and six practices in to Bing Training Camp, and the Seahawks have been given their first break.
The players have entered rest mode, a scheduled night and day off before they return for meetings on Wednesday night. The day off from practice and 24 hours away from football will allow players to get rest both physically and mentally, which is all part of Coach Pete Carroll’s plan to get the most from his team during the grueling grind of camp.
“This is an opportunity to get well and come back stronger than we are now,” Carroll told his players. “The schedule doesn’t get much better than this. Let’s take advantage of this, because we can’t just be surviving. We need to be strong, we need to be right.”
With about 24 hours off between football activity, here’s a look at Wednesday’s schedule for the Seahawks as Bing Training Camp continues on after the brief break:
5 p.m. • Mandatory team dinner
6 p.m. • Special teams meeting
6:30 p.m. • Team meeting
7 p.m. • Offense/defense meetings
9 p.m. • Snack
11 p.m. • Bed check
