Plays of the day: Afternoon edition
Check out the highlights from the afternoon session during Day 3 of Bing Training Camp:
- During team period, Matt Hasselbeck hit rookie wideout Golden Tate on a pretty bomb deep downfield, with Tate catching it in stride and sprinting untouched toward the end zone. Hasselbeck and Tate also connected for a nice completion along the right sideline in 7-on-7 drills.
- During a two-minute drill, tight end John Carlson reeled in a one-handed grab over the middle, even with a defender holding him.
- Linebacker Leroy Hill had an excellent downfield pass breakup while guarding a streaking tight end down the right sideline.
- Wideout Deon Butler flashed his speed by catching two impressive deep passes from Matt Hasselbeck during team period.
- In 7-on-7 period, safety Kevin Ellison came out of nowhere to turn in a lightning-quick pass breakup by knocking the ball out of the crossing tight end’s hands.
- On one play in a full-team scrimmage-like session, defensive lineman Kevin Vickerson powerfully broke through the line and wrapped up tailback Julius Jones several yards behind the line of scrimmage.
