The Seahawks have signed guard Chester Pitts, the team announced today.
Pitts started all 114 games played for the Houston Texans after being drafted in the second round (50th overall) of the 2002 NFL Draft until being sidelined last season after two games.
He moved to left guard in 2006 after beginning his career at left tackle, and is reunited with former Houston line coach Alex Gibbs in Seattle. Pitts attended San Diego State, where he walked-on to the football team in 1998.
In other roster moves today, the Seahawks released defensive end Robert Henderson and linebacker Anthony Heygood.
