Even with the bustle of Bing Training Camp preparations this week, Virginia Mason Athletic Center is missing rather important elements.
Coaches? Check. Support staff? Check. Players? Bingo, there’s the answer.
Seahawks headquarters have been strangely void of the men that play the actual games, as the NFL’s “10-day rule” is in full effect. Per the league-wide rule, veterans are not permitted to participate in team-sanctioned or coach-led activities in the 10 days leading up to training camp. They can come in voluntarily for meetings and workouts, but otherwise the week and a half before camp is a respite from football.
Rookies, quarterbacks and players on injured reserve are exempt from the rule.
