Two’s the magic number

The Seahawks’ final minicamp — the last of three this offseason — just got a little shorter.

Coach Pete Carroll cut the three-day voluntary camp to just two days, as he continues with a recent trend of trying to keep the players fresh. The team will conduct meetings and practice on Tuesday and Wednesday this week, removing Thursday’s activity and giving the players one more day of vacation, which incited a riotous celebration from the players when the head coach shared the good news after last Thursday’s practice.

Following this week’s two-day minicamp, the players will have five weeks off prior to reporting for training camp at the end of July.
