Caught red-handed
Coach Pete Carroll began this morning’s staff meeting with his trademark enthusiasm.
“It’s a big day today!” the head coach excitedly blurted out to his squadron of assistants who were gathered in the windowless staff room at 7:45 a.m.
Offensive line coach Alex Gibbs interrupted before Carroll could go on.
“That’s the same speech you’ve given for 18 straight days,” a smiling Gibbs said with loads of sarcasm.
Carroll, guilty as charged, was taken aback, but of course he had a response.
“Well, today is extra big because it’s our last OTA!” Carroll, giddy as ever, replied.
The Seahawks will take the field for that “extra big” final OTA at 10:45 a.m.
