Offseason workouts may be voluntary, but the attendance numbers would suggest otherwise.
Almost every player on the roster has been present at all strength and conditioning sessions this offseason, with an astounding 99 percent attendance rate through the first nine weeks of the program. Add that to a similarly near-perfect attendance at OTAs and voluntary minicamps, and the good vibes around Seahawks headquarters seem to be in abundance.
In February, Coach Pete Carroll challenged the players to have the best offseasons of their lives, and so far, “they’ve totally undertaken the challenge,” Carroll said.
“Involvement like this is almost unheard of,” Carroll said. “They’re working their tails off and their willingness and attitudes are terrific. It’s awesome, and it’s all we could hope for.”
