Like every other day during minicamp, class was in session bright and early this morning.
But unlike every other day during minicamp, this class wasn’t pertaining to Xs and Os; it was all about personal conduct.
Starting at 7:30 a.m., NFL senior director of security Reuben Bradford was on hand to deliver an hour-long multimedia presentation to the players and coaches. Using recent examples of prominent players who violated various aspects of the NFL’s personal conduct policy, Bradford stressed the importance of “protecting the integrity of the league.”
Coach Pete Carroll echoed Bradford’s message, telling his players that it always comes down to the organization’s “Rule No. 1” — always protect the team.
“We’ve got to have a conscience about this,” Carroll told the team. “We’ve got to live with a mindset to always do the right thing.”
