Planning ahead

The Seahawks equipment staff is always one step ahead of the game.

Their latest example of exceptional planning? They’ve already started outfitting the organization’s two first-round picks in anticipation for next weekend’s minicamp by calling the alma maters of the two drafted players to acquire sizes for their equipment needs.

Seahawks assistant equipment manager Kyle Stillwell has already begun making calls to the equipment offices at Oklahoma State (for Russell Okung) and Texas (for Earl Thomas) to obtain the measurements for everything from shoes to the helmet to waist — all so the players will be properly and comfortably equipped when they arrive for the rookie minicamp next week.
