Unsung heroes

During the NFL Draft this weekend, Coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Schneider will be in the spotlight, answering the media’s questions and getting the credit for the Seahawks’ picks.

But they aren’t the only ones responsible for how the picks came about. By the time the dust settles on Saturday night after the seventh and final round of the 2010 NFL Draft, a team of 16 scouting and executive personnel will have played a substantial role in the organization’s draft preparation and, ultimately, selections.

“These guys have been so instrumental in our draft homework,” Carroll said of the Seahawks’ scouts and personnel executives. “They worked so hard to give us the best possible preparation for this draft.”
