This week’s Seahawks minicamp seems to be ending just as it started — with a bang.
As the team begins its third and final day of the first minicamp of the Pete Carroll era, the focus around the Virginia Mason Athletic Center has turned to finishing strong, while also remaining true to the tempo and speed emphases that have been preached all week.
“We’ve accomplished so much,” Carroll told his players this morning. “But we want to see how far we can take this.”
With the coaches stressing attention to detail today, Carroll’s also accentuating the importance of finishing, which rests on the players “doing things right longer than the other guys.”
“When we own how to finish, we can be so good,” Carroll said. “Let’s get a mentality about it. It happens every day in every drill we do.”
