A New York state of mind
Chances are, the Seahawks will know where to find their first-round picks after selecting them in the NFL draft next Thursday. That would be New York City.
Twelve players have accepted invitations from the league to attend the proceedings at Radio City Music Hall, and they comprise a veritable Who’s Who of this year’s draft class:
QB Sam Bradford, Oklahoma
DT Ndamukong Suh, Nebraska
DT Gerald McCoy, Oklahoma
OT Russell Okung, Oklahoma State
DE Derrick Morgan, Georgia Tech
OT Trent Williams, Oklahoma
DT Dan Williams, Tennessee
FS Eric Berry, Tennessee
DT Jared Odrick, Penn State
CB Joe Haden, Florida
RB C.J. Spiller, Clemson
CB Brandon Ghee, Wake Forest
OT Bryan Bulaga, Iowa
DT Lamarr Houston, Texas
WR Demaryius Thomas, Georgia Tech
RB Jahvid Best, Cal
The QB trio of Jimmy Clausen, Tim Tebow and Colt McCoy also has been invited.
The Seahawks hold the sixth and 14th selections in the first round.
