The word “offseason” doesn’t really fit into the vernacular for the coaches and other personnel at the Seahawks’ Renton headquarters.
Not that they’re complaining.
With the NFL Draft only two weeks away and the team’s first voluntary minicamp just five days from kicking off, a special buzz is flowing among the coaches’ offices and throughout the Virginia Mason Athletic Center. The excitement is noticeably building as the organization charges forward toward the 2010 season.
“You can really feel the energy here — minicamp’s coming and the draft’s getting closer,” Coach Carroll said this afternoon. “[General manager] John Schneider and the boys are busting their tails to get it right, and it’s a really exciting time for us.”
