Jones inactive; Jackson active
The Rams have come out on top in the tale of two running backs. Julius Jones, the Seahawks’ leading rusher, is inactive today because of the bruised lung he got two weeks ago. Steven Jackson, the NFC’s leading rusher, is active for the Rams despite sitting out all week with back spasms.
That means Justin Forsett will get his second consecutive start for the Seahawks.
Jackson, meanwhile, won’t have Mike Karney, the fullback from Kentwood High School; or the right side of his offensive line – tackle Jason Smith and guard Richie Incognito. All three are injured, and inactive.
Also inactive for the Seahawks:
S Jamar Adams
OG Mike Gibson
OG Mansfield Wrotto
TE Cameron Morrah
DT Red Bryant
DL Derek Walker
3rd QB: Mike Teel
Also inactive for the Rams:
CB Danny Gorrer
OG Roger Allen III
WR Jordan Kent
RB Chris Ogbonnaya
Kent was with the Seahawks last season, while Ogbonnaya was signed off the practice squad on Saturday just in case Jackson could not play. Right guard Adam Goldberg moves to tackle for Smith, with Mark Setterstrom stepping in at guard for Goldberg — who was starting at guard because Incognito is out.
